Before I start, I'd like to announce that I picked up my wedding dress today! It's so beautiful, and even more beautiful because it's my size and made with my customizations and it's MINE. Erin went with me and took some pictures, buy I'm not going to post any on here because Jake reads this occasionally :) I waited four and a half months for it and it's finally hanging in my closet.
Now onto the next photo challenge.
Post a picture of your favorite memory...
Of course, this is not my ONE favorite memory, but I had to choose something, right? This memory isn't just one; it's more like a bundle of memories from a two-week trip to Costa Rica that Jake and I took just before our senior year of college. We enrolled in a short study-abroad program for Spanish and attended intensive Spanish classes and each of us stayed with separate families in order to learn the language even better. Outside of classes we took on many activities and experienced new adventures that can only be provided by being in a foreign country with a loved one. It was such a great experience and I sooo want to go back, not just for the recreation but to re-learn Spanish. Unfortunately, the longer it's been since the trip, the rustier I get at Spanish. Just two weeks of it really boosted my speaking ability.
This experience was completely out of my comfort zone which was why it is so memorable for me. For a few years in college, I always thought about study abroad but figured it was too much for me to handle. Although this was a short study abroad trip, I was able to prove to myself that I am capable of doing something like this. And having Jake there helped too :)
